Assessment, Commercialization, and Application of Science and
Technology and the Management of Knowledge
Lisbon, Portugal, 3 - 5 August 1998

The Lisbon '98 Conference will focus on the global and regional technology and innovation policies for achieving sustainable development in the 21st century. Emphasis will be placed on the impact of Science and Technology and of wealth creation on sustainability. The roles of academia, industry and government in addressing related critical challenges in a timely fashion will be analysed.

4. Institutional Innovations & Sustainable Development

5. Critical Emerging and unresolved Challenges - an Agenda for defining the Focus of Future Technology Policy and Innovation

Four Main Workshops will be organized on specialized topics, which are raising considerable interest and discussion world-wide, as follows:
