International Conference "Technologies for Activities Implemented Jointly"
Vancouver, Canada, 26th - 29th May 1997

The IEA Greenhouse Gas R&D Programme is pleased to announce that preparations are underway for our third international conference. The conference "Technologies for AIJ" will run for 4 days, 26th - 29th May 1997 at the Westin Bayshore Hotel, Vancouver, Canada.

One of the aims of the conference is to provide the audience with speakers who have practical experience of AIJ, reporting on their activities, highlighting the achievements and potential pitfalls. One aim of the IEA GHG Programme is to produce R&D proposals and to encourage practical demonstration and development of greenhouse gas mitigation technologies.

AIJ is a major tool with which to facilitate this exchange or transfer and help towards practical implementation of technologies to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases.
