Call for Papers
Biomass for Energy, Industry and Climate Protection
Amsterdam, The Netherlands, June 17-21, 2002
Introduction
The forthcoming European Biomass Conference and Technology Exhibition on Biomass for Energy, Industry and Climate Protection in Amsterdam will be the outstanding European event in this sector for the year 2002. It comes as the 12th in a series which the European Commission has started 20 years ago. The preceding one (Sevilla 2000) was - with 1000 participants and a large industry Exhibition - an overwhelming success. Since then, under guidance of the European Commission, the Biomass sector is ever more booming.
Programme
The five-day programme for this Conference will comprise:
- Plenary lectures describing the state-of-the-art in biomass technology
- Oral and poster presentations of specific research, development, demonstration and commercial projects
- Exhibition of biomass products, utilisation and conversion technologies
- Scientific tours and a social programme
- Political and strategical workshops.
The conference ist jointly organised by ETA-Florence and WIP-Munich and supported by the European Commission, the Government of the Netherlands, World Bank (RPTES Program), NOVEM The Netherlands Agency for Energy and the Environment, IEA Bioenergy, EUBIA European Biomass Industry Association and EUROSOLAR.
